Dee works with all levels of students from beginning through advanced competitors. She competes in USDAA, AKC, ASCA and NADAC and has achieved numerous advanced titles on her dogs.
Dee's training philosophy emphasizes the relationship between you and your dog by using play and positive reinforcement in training and competing. She enjoys watching the beginning handlers as they learn to communicate and connect with their dogs; becoming a team while having fun. She sees the changes in the dogs as they gain self confidence, develop self control and become more attentive to their handlers. Patience, play and laughter are the essential tools when starting agility.
Dee teaches at both her facility in Corralitos in Santa Cruz County, for Monterey Bay Dog Training Club in Watsonville, in Santa Cruz County and at Dawg Done It in Monterey, in Monterey County.

What do Dee's students say about her?
Dee is my favorite instructor. I have the opportunity to train
with some of the best handlers on the west coast but Dee is the
best one. She watches how I handle my dog in every training
sequence and critiques every run. It is not good enough for
my dog to get through the sequence, she makes sure that I handle
him so that he truly understands his job. No other instructor
has ever taken the time to make sure I become a better handler.
The focus has always been on the dog. With Dee, the focus
is on the team, both halves.

Dee
has trained me and my three Australian Shepherds for years, and
we've now earned Novice through Elite titles. Not only have my dogs
positively responded to the Dee's patience, love, attention and
team-building, we have a blast during every class too!

Thanks Dee, without your patience with me and understanding of Jazper's
needs, we would never have come so far! Agility has built a fabulous
communication between Jazper & I.

One
thing I love about Dee is how she tailors her teaching style to
the specific needs of your dog.

Dee is a great teacher. She is very patient with both
the dogs and their owners.

I am a big fan of Dee. Not only does she know how
to train dogs in agility and probably other areas, she's also great
with the dog handlers. As one who feels challenged in coordination,
she is always encouraging. I highly recommend Dee as a great person
and trainer.
